Dr. Ben Green, originally from Tasmania, completed his medical degree at the University of Tasmania. Following his junior training in Canberra, he advanced his surgical expertise in Sydney and Brisbane, culminating in specialist training in general surgery and a subspecialty fellowship in breast surgery.

In 2013, Dr. Green began practicing as a specialist breast and endocrine surgeon at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. In 2020, he transitioned his focus to private practice.

Dr. Green has a strong clinical interest in breast surgery, thyroid surgery, and parathyroid surgery. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care using contemporary, evidence-based techniques in a multidisciplinary setting. His extensive training in oncoplastic breast surgery emphasizes preserving or enhancing breast aesthetics during cancer treatment, including reconstructive options for mastectomy patients. Additionally, he specializes in complex thyroid and parathyroid conditions, offering minimally invasive surgical approaches where appropriate.

Passionate about education and advancing surgical standards, Dr. Green serves as a councillor of BreastSurgANZ, which ensures excellence in breast cancer care across Australia and New Zealand. He is also co-chair of breast surgical training for the region and an examiner in general surgery.

Dr. Green contributes to improving care standards in breast and endocrine surgery through his roles on the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Breast Implant Working Group and the Queensland Cancer Control Analysis Team (QCCAT), which monitors surgical outcomes across Queensland. He is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons Society.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Green enjoys spending time with his family, often chauffeuring his children to their activities as "Dad's Taxi," sailing on the bay, or cheering for the Carlton Football Club and the Queensland Maroons as an avid sports fan.
